Skinny Dipper hot springs now closed for five years

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) — Signs are going up today marking the closing of Skinny Dipper Hot Springs.

The popular spot, about a half-mile hike from the Banks-Lowman highway, will be shut down for the next five years. BLM managers say the closure comes after continuous complaints about dangerous and illegal activities.

The BLM says it's still open to granting a special use permit to a group that would clean up the springs and be responsible.
